How to quickly increase earnings in B2B services
If you run a B2B service company and largely provide the services to your clients yourself, you are certainly wondering how to increase your earnings. Is it possible to quickly improve financial results, especially when you run a small business? Yes, it is possible, and in this article we present specific steps that can help you increase earnings in B2B services.
Focus on the one thing you do best
Many entrepreneurs try to offer a wide range of services, counting on attracting more potential clients this way. Nothing could be further from the truth, because it is precisely focusing on one narrowly specialized service that brings much better results.
Services can be divided into two types:
– “Nice to have“, i.e. ones the client may have, but which are not essential to them.
– “Must have“, services that are essential for the business to function.
Providing services from the second category, i.e. “must have”, gives a greater chance of long-term cooperation. So ideally your service solves some significant problem, saves time or money, or helps the client earn more.
Companies offering “must have” services, such as energy suppliers or telephone operators, are essential to their clients. And even if their offer is not perfect, they will still have customers for it.
Precisely define the ideal customer profile
Defining for whom your service will be most valuable is a key step in increasing earnings. By precisely defining the ideal customer profile you will be able to better tailor your marketing communication and offer.
Remember that effective selling requires looking from your recipient’s perspective, so try asking yourself: “What problems does my service solve and what value does it bring to my client?”

Switch to outbound sales
Instead of relying only on content marketing and referrals, try to bet on outgoing sales, i.e. outbound. Outbound works fast and gives immediate results, and properly planned activities in this area will let you quickly win new clients.
Thanks to active outbound sales, even when one day you have no new inquiries, the next day you may have several meetings scheduled.
Raise your prices
Most service companies unnecessarily underprice, which negatively affects profits. Setting prices too low often results from mental blocks, and the truth is that prices should be set by clients and their needs, not by your beliefs. High prices are usually a sign of greater value and can attract clients who are more valuable from your company’s perspective.

Sell knowledge and results, not time
Hourly billing is one of those things that limit your earning potential. The faster you solve clients’ problems, the less you earn. So instead of selling time, bet on selling the results you deliver. A well-constructed service should be based above all on results, not on the number of hours worked.
Introduce a subscription
Instead of selling one-off projects, try to create a subscription model, thanks to which a client once won will regularly pay for your services. This will help you ensure financial stability and predictability of revenue. A subscription for the services you offer gives the client greater comfort, and you a steady income.
Take for example telecommunications or energy service providers, who rely on a subscription model, which provides them with steady and recurring revenue.
Do not jump straight into the deep end
Start with an entry product, not with something big. Clients are often not ready to invest in large projects right away. So at the beginning offer them an entry product that will be an introduction to further, larger cooperation. This product may be an analysis, a consultation or some kind of workshop. This way you will gain the client’s trust, and it will be easier for them to decide on a larger investment in the future. If they are satisfied, they will certainly come back to you for more.
Summary
Increasing earnings in a short time in B2B services requires applying the right strategies. Focusing on one service, precisely defining the ideal client, outbound sales, raising prices and selling results instead of time are just some of the steps that can bring your company rapid revenue growth, while introducing a subscription model and selling entry products are further elements that will help you achieve success in a shorter time.
